Another Snow Day

Yesterday afternoon and today, we had another snowmageddon type day.  We only received between 3-6 inches around town, but schools were closed, businesses shutdown. On Monday night MoDot issues a no travel advisory.  The state is starting to run low on salt for the roads so they are cutting back on clearing and salting side streets.  It makes for interesting new casts.

I was able to get out of downtown by 12:30 and home by 1.  I drove into heavy snow the closer I got to the house and of course, slide past the driveway when I finally made it home.  That was with about an inch of snow on the ground. 

Scott was home with Gabe about an hour later.  We took turns working and playing and got a lot done during nap time.  Gabe has become a decent napper.  It must be that he is playing so hard all day that he realizes he needs these naps.

While Scott was on conference calls Gabe helped me with a few work emails and we did a lot of reading.  Nothing is better than staying warm and reading some good books.  Plus, Facetime with Grammie is always a perk.
