Gabriel's Birthday Party

We celebrated Gabriel's birthday the weekend after his birthday.  Initially we were planning a baptism over the weekend as well and it just made sense to do it all at once.  But with the lovely, RSV hanging around our house things have been pushed back. We didn't want that to stop Gabe from having a real birthday party, even if it was just family.

We did decide to have a low key birthday party this year.  He is 2, he had no clue what was really going on.  He did love opening all the presents and has been playing with them all.  We went with a construction theme party.  The cake was awesome.  I can't believe how awesome it turned out.

One of the best gifts he received was a remote controlled blue F150 truck.  He loved it.

He wasn't too sure what all the singing was about and enjoyed a few bites of his cake.  Thankfully, he doesn't get much sugar and when he does he only eats a little bit.
He had some help from Zio Andrew putting together his new Cars lego set and the new track to go with his airport.  This was definitely a car/truck theme birthday.

And what party would be complete with out a cute, 3 month old Bennett.  He really is looking like my dad's mini-me.  The lighting isn't great but there is a pretty strong resemblance.
