Walker Baby

We officially have a walker!  Thomas has been teasing us with taking a few steps here and there every so often.  He learned that he was a much faster crawler and that was easy to keep up with his brothers.  Then this past weekend he just took off.  He is a non-stop walker!  Crawling is no longer the best way to get around.

Thomas is so proud of himself with his new found form of moving.  His face just lights up when he sees you waiting for him to walk.  He is the slowest of all 3 boys to walk.  Both Gabriel and Bennett were walking at 10 months.  Scott and I were content with his delayed walking.

8 Months

Mr. T turned 8 months on our last day in Chicago.  We drove home from a great visit with our cousins.  Thomas did not do a great job of sleeping in the pack and play while visiting.  I'm going to blame excitement to play with family and teething.   He is still not crawling and still toothless.  I can see the teeth slowly moving under his gums, so they are coming, but slowly.  He does love to scoot around on his belly and can go from belly back to sitting. He has started to give great high fives, waves and clapping.

Thomas is now a very talkative Thomas. He loves to babble to himself or with someone.  Everything goes in his mouth, everything.  He is adjusting your the new house and new space to roll around.  I've said it before, but any day he will be mobile and have a tooth.

7 Months

Thomas turned 7 months and we are busy packing the house and enjoying the beginning of summer.  He has yet to crawl, but loves to sit and watch everything.  He loves to stand in his exersaucer and play. He is slowly starting to understand eating stage 1 foods.

He is still a happy fella that loves to watch his brothers be crazy.

6 Months

Mr. T turn 6 months old and is such a happy baby.  He has been with us only half a year, but it really feels like he has always been here.  He loves watching his brothers do everything.  He is only fussy when he is hungry, wet or tired - just like anyone else.  He had his 6 month check up and he weighed in at 18lbs (65%), height was 28in long (99%)!  We have a very tall kid and is quickly outgrowing all 6 month clothes.

Happy Half Birthday Thomas Q!

3 Months for Mr. T

Thomas is 3 months old and it doesn't seem possible.  I can't imagine our family without him.  He really has started to develop a personality.  He is smiling all the time these days. The boys love to check on Mr. T and Gabriel loves to make him smile and laugh.  Bennett informs us whenever Thomas is talking.  Of course he wants to know what he is saying, we all do.

We have been lucky with this little boy.  He is mostly easy going, except when he is over stimulated or tired.  Trying to get the right balance of tired before hitting the limit is tough.  Thomas loves to watch us.  He hates it when he is stuck in the bouncy seat and cannot see anyone.  Needless to say, he helps make a lot of dinners and loading and unloading the dishwasher.

No baby stats for this month, big 4 month check up next month.  I'm sure this kid is off the charts in height (3 month onesies barely snap) and he has really started to get that wonderful baby chunk.

Happy 3 months Thomas Quinn!

First tub bath

Thomas had his first big kid bath.  No more freezing his cute tooshie on the kitchen counter.  I'm sure he is excited about that.
At first he was not too sure about what was going on. He warmed up with some help from his brother.  Overall, we are a fan of the big kid baths.  And I've remembered how easy it is to bath a 2 month old. It's much easier than dealing with bath toys and bubbles and kids that never want to get out.

Thomas Quinn

We have 3 boys!  Wow!  Where do we begin on Thomas' birth story?  It was very quick.  We got the call from the hospital around 5am to come in for induction.  We arrived around 6:30 and by 7 they were starting the pictocin.  Since this was my third time being induced, my doctor told the nurse to double the meds to speed up the process.  Since they did that my nurse, Alex, stayed in the room with us most of the day.

We would watch the intensity of the contractions all day with little process and little pain.  Scott even worked on estimating the time of arrival of the baby based on contractions and how little I was dilated. They broke my water around 11am and I had my epidural around 1.  My doctor used the peanut shaped ball to help speed up dilation.  They came in to check on me because they could not see the baby's heart rate.  They checked me and it was time to push. It took 2 pushes in 4 minutes and we welcomed our third son, Thomas Quinn.

We really could not believe it was a boy. Everyone was convinced we had a girl. Once he arrived we were in love with the tiny, cute, blonde boy.

Welcome to the crazy Allenzotti family Thomas.

Still in shock that it's a boy

New Brother

My entire pregnancy the boys told me they were having a sister.  After months of hearing that and having some differences this time around, I started to think it would be a girl.  Having the doctor tell me "here's Thomas" was one of the best surprises we ever had.  When it was time for the boys to meet their new brother we were very excited.  I, of course, had t-shirts made for each.  Their reactions were great.

Gabriel was a little confused as to why it was Thomas and not Giuliana.  I so happy we told them both names and didn't just assume they were right.

I love seeing these moments.  They go so fast when in the moment.  But I'm so happy that I have these pictures to share with the boys when they get older.

Bennett could not be happier

Baby A

It's come to my attention that baby A #3 has not received much blog love.  In fact, it was only made social media known about a month ago that B3 or Third Base is arriving in November.  I really blame this fun fact on the 2 older siblings.  They are both running wild all the time.  But I digress about them, this is going to be about my pregnancy so far.

The beginning of this pregnancy started off with me getting the flu and/or strep in early April.  Our whole family was hit by it, some worse than others for 2 weeks.  Then my morning sickness lasted for what seemed like forever.  I think, Scott might disagree, I could safely say I was no long feeling sick in June.  This was the first pregnancy that I actually took the anti-nausea medicine that the doctor prescribed.

Of course this pregnancy, with 2 little ones to chase around, is much different than when it was just Gabe and I.  Both, Gabe and Bennett, are very active and love to play, wrestle and just be little boys.  So, my exhaustion level is much higher than before.  It's really rare that I'm wake or not in bed later than 9pm.  Most nights, I'm happy to go to bed right after the boys, at 7:30.

In may other ways, this pregnancy has been more fun.  Gabriel has been convinced that Baby A is a girl.  We try to ask him daily what he thinks the baby is and what the name will be.  He tells us, almost every time, it's a Sister.  But we remind him that it could be a boy and he then says the baby boy name.  Also, when we ask, he tells us there is just one baby.  I'm glad he doesn't think there is more than one in there.  Scott has made it a point to read Bernstein Bears New Baby to Gabriel most nights, which Gabriel loves.

Bennett isn't too sure of what is going on.  He has slowly gotten used to the fact that my lap is getting smaller and it's hard for him to sit on it during story time.  But he is extra snuggly and I love it.  I do ask Bennett to say good morning or night to the baby.  He is great at kissing the baby good morning.  Even when other people ask where the baby is, he just points to my stomach and says baby.

Now that we are in the final 9 weeks of pregnancy, overall I feel fine, I'm just tired by the end of the day.  I figure that won't go away for a while, so I'm making the most of it.  This kid is a mover, just like Bennett, except most kicks are at the bottom of my stomach.  Where Bennett and Gabe seemed to kick more towards my chest.  Most nights while watching TV, this kid is kicking, punching and doing flips.  Of course, when I try to let Scott feel, most times, the baby completely stops.

Other fun pregnancy feelings this time around, I may have had some small contractions this week.  Since both boys were induced, I'm not 100% sure if that's what I felt.  There is a part of me that really wants this baby to be early, not too early.  The other part, is really enjoying my time with both boys.  I know they will be excited when the baby gets here, but I'm not sure I'm ready to give up the man to man parenting that we have been working on.  The zone defense should be interesting for a while.

I guess what sums up the last 8 months in the Allenzotti pregnancy world.

Crawling!

It's official, we have a crawler!  Bennett has been keeping us on our toes lately.  All baby gates are back in position.  This kid is fast too.  It took a coupe days for him to realize what he was doing, but now he is moving full force.

Along with crawling he does try to stand.  He will get in a bear crawl position and try to move.  He is pulling himself up and moving his feet forward for easier standing.  It's just a matter of time before he is walking.

Just gotta catch my brother!

7 months old

Our not so little, little man keeps getting bigger.  We hit the 7 month milestone and Bennett is the size of a 9 month old, at least in clothing.  He is eating and sometimes liking Stage 1 foods.  He really likes fruits and could do without the vegetables.  The only person that can get him to eat a lot of the veggies is Scott. He will sit there and keep his mouth tightly shut if its me or Mary trying to feed him.  It's a good thing he is so darn cute.

Bennett is so close to crawling.  He gets on all 4s but just can't figure out the forward motion.  I'm not rushing this at all.  As long as he crawls in front of Scott I don't care.  Scott missed Gabe crawling because he was in Australia.  I don't think it will take B two months to crawl, so we are safe.  Bennett loves to play with Scott and Gabe.  We think he feels left out if he has to sit on the couch and watch Scott and Gabe rough house.

He loves Reily.  Reily is very protective of Bennett.  She will let him pull on her and grab at her and not even flinch.  If it was Gabe, she would have snapped.  It's interesting to see her change based on which boy is around.

Bennett has become very playful.  He loves to sit and play with Sofie or a butterfly toy we have.  He is very animated and very ticklish.  His laugh is so cute, we love hearing it.

He won't go to the doctor for a check up until 9 months (August).  So I'm betting he is about 29inches long, at least 20lbs - chunker.  And still the happiest and easiest baby.

We love you Bennett!  Here are the many faces of Bennett, could he be any cuter?
